IF Sam Allardyce and Phil Brown thought that a season of loan deals and a bit of luck would keep us in the big league then they should start preparing for Division One.
Although with the wind in our sails we made a fine start to the campaign, inevitably the squad we have cannot hold out the season. This week's result at Spurs, although not important, will be a hammer blow to our already shattered confidence.
Sam must realise now that 4-5-1 against lesser teams at home has been a mistake. Let's go for broke in the run in.
I also hope Fredi Bobic is not breaking the wage structure. He must start scoring soon.
