I NOTED with interest the letter from A C Crompton headed "MP's silence on the fate of the school", accusing Bolton North-east MP David Crausby of staying silent over the closure of Longsight School.
A C Crompton has obviously not written to David Crausby MP on this issue, as everyone who has contacted David has received a lengthy letter in which he gives details of his visit to Longsight School on December 14, when he met with the head teacher and parent governors, and discussed at some length with them the situation.
Surely the question A C Crompton should be asking is what the local councillors are doing to represent the depth of feeling on this issue.
I suspect, however, the local councillors are shouting a lot and doing very little!
At the end of the day this is a local authority matter, and the three Bradshaw councillors should be representing the people who elected them.
