BOLTON Youth Jazz Orchestra will be part of Wigan Jazz Club's second Salute To Youth Jazz Orchestras, where they will be joined by orchestras from Leeds, Salford, Scarborough, Sefton and Wigan.
The three-day event takes place at the Mill At The Pier from February 21-24 and will include concerts, clinics, seminars, rehearsals and late night jams. Renowned US trombone virtuoso Tom Garling, best known for his appearances at Wigan as Musical Director and arranger/composer for Maynard Ferguson, will be featured both as clinician/educator.
The highlight of events on Saturday, February 23, will be a special concert by the 29-piece Bert Kaempfert Orchestra, led by trumpet virtuoso Tony Fisher. Members of the orchestra will feature as clinicians during Saturday morning.
