A MAN accused of harassing a young neighbour has been convicted by a jury.
Christopher Harrison has been remanded in custody while a pre-sentence report is prepared.
Harrison began a campaign of harassment against nursery nurse Heidi King after his partner and Miss King's mother fell out.
Harrison followed her to work, made throat-cutting gestures and other rude signs.
Heidi King said Harrison would hurl abuse at her if he saw her in the street and once abused her in front of her boyfriend.
Harrison had claimed that she had harassed him and that he had reported her activities to the police but they had taken no action.
He admitted under cross-examination that he had a criminal record with 29 previous convictions, including offences of theft, fraud, criminal damage and public disorder matters.
When interviewed by police Harrison claimed that all the allegations were false and that the King family had harassed him.
Harrison, aged 40, of Acres Street, Tottington, appeared at Bolton Crown Court.
He had denied harassing Heidi King causing her to fear that violence may be used. He had also denied two charges of witness intimidation of Miss King.
At the time Harrison lived with his partner and her daughter at an address in Grassington Court, Walshaw in Bury and Heidi King lived next door with her parents.
