Bolton 2nd XI 2, Blackpool 2: BOLTON Seconds entertained leaders Blackpool in a contest no team could afford to lose.

Bolton had a great chance to take the lead but Owen Evans missed the opportunity leaving Blackpool to mount a swift counter attack and with the aid of a cruel spin, the ball crept agonisingly over the goal line.
Bolton hit back quickly when a Richard Guest strike was half saved by the Blackpool keeper and Ian Smith was on hand to equaliser.
Blackpool took the lead for a second time due to an extremely well struck finish combined with some woeful Bolton marking but the advantage was again short-lived. The hard work of Owen Evans drew a foul in the Blackpool 'D' and, Evans and Deanset up Guest to thunder home the equaliser. In the final five minutes Blackpool were awarded a penalty stroke was awarded. Keeper Goldsbrough looked confident as ever he does in these situations, doing his usual tribal dance on the goal line to try and out-psych the striker.
