DOFFCOCKER Reservoir is showing good winter form with slab bream, skimmers and decent roach all showing an interest.
Mick Hayes in permanent peg two had a brace of bream plus a skimmer on the quvertip with red maggot to take the Bolton Angling Centre Open with a fine weight of 7lbs-2ozs.
Next door in peg three was John Crook, who fished similar methods to take bream, skimmers and small roach for second place with 4lbs-10ozs. In third place, and on peg ten, was Paul Swift, who ledger fished with caster to take some nice roach for 4lbs-7ozs. Sections: 'A' Darren Hanley 3lbs-6ozs., 'B' John Hanley 2lbs-7ozs.
