ROACH again dominated the Saturday Bradshaw Open on No. 4 Lake with good nets of small silver fish.
Conrad Taylor won with 15-8-0 taken on dead-depth fished maggot and caster over joker at 13m, beating team-mate Stuart Wardle, who took small roach on long pole for 14-2-0. Roger Gardom broke the monopoly of the full depth men with 13-0-0 on slow dropping maggot.
Meanwhile, torrential rain and gusting winds failed to dampen spirits as another full house saw Conrad Taylor complete a weekend double on Sunday with just an ounce less than his Saturday weight. With two 1lb skimmers proved to be his bonus fish, weighing 15-7-0 from wall peg 28, Conrad again used full depth rigs, using chopped worm. Gardon, again drawing peg 25, went one place better to finish runner up with 9-8-0, just pipping his travelling companion Karl Webster, whose 9-6-0 was caught from the next peg, fishing long pole and maggot up in the water.
