BOLTON Ladies suffered a disappointing result at high-flying Bowdon and failed to take any points from a game they lead 1-0 at half time.
The goal was a wonder strike from woman of the match Claire Russell, who slotted home, having beaten two Bowdon defenders.
In the second half the stylish Bowdon side stepped up a gear and struck with a run of four goals without reply from Bolton. However Russell was very unlucky not to add to her tally when her glancing touch in the circle was not acknowledged by the umpire and the goal was not awarded.
Late on in the game, Sarah Grange gave a scoreline a better look when she managed a consolation goal with a strike from an acute angle.
