I READ with interest about the parking in Bolton town centre and wonder why all these shoppers who come to town, to spend money, get booked over the most petty things?
And the disabled, who get booked because badges are upside down etc.
It's a pity the traffic wardens don't get on their bikes and get up to Hayward School on Lever Edge Lane.
For months during term-time the residents have put up with inconsiderate parents etc who come to collect pupils at 3.30pm. They park on or across driveways and on zig zag yellow lines, in spite of a great big notice telling them not to. They give verbal abuse if they are asked to move and treat this road like Brand's Hatch. Are these children not capable of walking or catching a bus?
Then we have the boy racers who appear at lunchtime and 3.30pm. They play cat and mouse up and down the Lane. Do they have a death wish?
Why are the police and traffic wardens never around when you want them? Oh yes, I forgot, they are in town booking the shoppers.
