A REWARD is being offered following an armed robbery in Radcliffe.
A cash in transit van pulled up outside Black Lane Post Office, on Ainsworth Road, in Radcliffe at 11.35am on Wednesday and
two men wearing balaclavas approached a 49-year-old security guard.
One was armed with a metal bar and the second carried a machete type weapon. The pair subjected the guard to a violent attack before escaping with a quantity of cash.
The men then climbed into a waiting blue Honda Civic, registration L31 VCC, driven by a third masked man.
The Honda had been stolen overnight from the Swinton area.
The offenders then drove down Ainsworth Road to Alma Street, where they changed vehicles to a red Saab saloon, which has a false registration of R288 ARJ. This car was recovered a short time later in Hambridge Close, Cheetham Hill.
