COLIN Hendry has declared himself fit for first team action after making a successful comeback from his latest injury setback.
The veteran Wanderer, sidelined since New Year's Day with knee and ankle problems, came through the reserve team game against Manchester United on Wednesday and now has his sights on a place in Sam Allardyce's squad for the game at Southampton on Saturday week and hopes to figure in the home game against one of his former clubs, Blackburn Rovers, on March 2.
"An injury robbed me at the beginning of the season," he said, lamenting the knee damage he sustained in the pre-season friendly against Southport. "So I've not really had much luck at all!
"But I feel good and I'm looking for any competitive games. I'll be ready for the journey down to Southampton and hopefully I'll be around and available for the Blackburn game."
