THE founder of a prestigious boys' choir yesterday admitted indecently assaulting a 14-year-old boy.
Adrian Jessett, aged 53, who was also the musical director of the Manchester Boys' Choir, pleaded guilty at the city's Minshull Street Crown Court to eight counts of indecent assault on the same youngster.
All the offences took place between 1996 and 2000 at Jessett's home or in his car.
Jessett, of Heaton Moor, Stockport, pleaded not guilty to one count of rape and three other counts of indecent assault.
The Crown said it would not proceed to trial on the not guilty pleas and would offer no evidence.
Judge Barry Woodward adjourned the hearing until March 27 for the preparation of pre-sentence reports.
