IT was a case of dog eat dog when a Bolton physiotherapist appeared on a television game show which offered a prize of £10,000.
Mother-of-three Jill Peters won her spot on the BBC1 show Dog Eat Dog, hosted by Ulrika Jonsson, following auditions in Manchester.
After enduring tough mental exams on her English, maths and logic ability she was invited to Reading for physical stamina tests.
Forty-two-year-old Jill, who works at the Royal Bolton Hospital, was asked to climb an 80ft wall as part of the challenge. But, she says, it was her bubbly personality that won over the judges.
After completing the tasks she earned her place on the show, filmed at Pinewood Studios in London.
Contestants have to predict which of the other players will fail at a specific challenge. If they predict wrongly, they end up on the "losers bench".
After a string of correct predictions, Jill found herself neck and neck with one other contestant. In the battle for the prize money the pair attempted to cross a series of squares on foot. If any lit up they had to return to the start.
To find out if Jill won, the show will be broadcast on Saturday, February 23.
Jill, of Ulleswater Close, Little Lever, said: "I had a fantastic time and it was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed it all."
Jill, the captain of Mytham Ladies Rounders Team in Little Lever, said the team, their husbands and her family and friends will watch the show in their local, The Seven Stars pub.
She is also considering offers to appear on game shows The Weakest Link and The Waiting Game.
