ON the bus lane from Atherton to Bolton, along Newbrook Road, the sign reads "Mon to Fri Bus Taxi Cycles 7am 10am".
The council seems to have missed out the word (only) on the sign.
I am a lady of mature years and do not have a university education, but understand that the lane can be used after the times indicated.
But, if you use the lane after the times indicated the abuse, threats and foul language, which I would not repeat, is something we could all do without. This language comes from all walks of life and carries on all the way to Bolton. When you get to the top of Newbrook Road and the A6, these drivers, if you don't brake, put you on the pavement, or in the garage, as they cut you up. This also happens from Hulton Lane.
At 4pm you stay out of the bus lane to Four Lane Ends, only to find that drivers coming out of Plodder Lane use the bus lane and you are unable to get in to the near side to go down Newbrook Road. This sign reads "Bus Lane 4pm to 6.30pm". Again the word (only) seems to be missing.
It would be wonderful if the Bolton Evening News could educate these drivers and the council to all the problems they have made.
