LABOUR MP Brian Iddon wants to stop people from smoking in vehicles in case they fumble when lighting up.
Yet he wants the law changed to allow freedom from prosecution to all who smoke cannabis. Would he feel the same the next time he and his family were flying abroad on holiday and the pilot was as high as a kite? (Excuse the pun!). Or police, ambulance crews, firefighters, train drivers etc being on an induced high? The police have plenty to keep them occupied as it is, due to underfunding and manpower shortages.
We are being swamped by crime, as I know from personal experience. So stupid ideas from MPs should be remembered at election time.
It's a war out here, Mr Iddon. If you want to do something constructive, then buy a tin hat and join us.
