DOUBLE act Andrea Bushell and Ginny Edgar are hoping to inspire Bolton's cash-strapped ailing communities into action.
The two have just been appointed as Bolton's catalyst team -- to improve the lives of people living on some of the town's most needy housing estates.
The couple, employed as part of the SRB6 community development project, hope that they will soon become familiar faces in the town.
Their role will be to help people understand complex funding grants and encourage residents to get their voice heard on local issues.
Andrea, aged 25, from Wigan, said: "We are working to help local people get more involved in community activities, share information and training to improve their quality of life."
The two will hold special surgeries across the town and will also run workshops for community groups, as well as providing information and resources for them.
Miss Edgar said: "We will also give tailored advice for individual groups, including how to access community grants and other sources of funding -- as well as ongoing support to community activists."
More information on the scheme is available by ringing Andrea and Ginny on 01204- 334340.
