'A' LEVEL student Alistair Campbell is proving a top grade last minute replacement for St Philips Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society.
The company is staging Oklahoma from February 25 to March 2 at the Parochial Hall, Bridgeman Street, but members found themselves at the eleventh hour without a leading man.
Due to circumstances beyond their control they were in need of someone to play the lead role of Curly, so Alistair stepped in to save the day. However, Alistair, aged 18, is no stranger to the stage. He is studying for A Level Performing Arts and Theatre Studies, and has appeared as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar and Frederick in The Pirates of Penzance.
Alistair's leading lady is experienced Natalie Kirkbright, a familiar face in Bolton amateur dramatics, who plays the role of Laurey.
Tickets for the show are from Mrs Holt on 01204 524800.
