Wanderers Res 1, Leeds Utd Res 1: JERMAINE Johnson - sent off last week - bounced back to score his first goal in Bolton colours at the Reebok on Monday night.
But the Jamaican's impressive finish was not enough to earn a young Wanderers' second string victory with England World Cup hopeful Alan Smith claiming a point for Leeds from the penalty spot 10 minutes from time.
And for the second successive week, they ended the game down to 10 men.
Teenage defender Martin Moran was the unfortunate victim of a harsh refereeing decision - not only judged to have handled the ball in the penalty incident but also having the misery compounded when the red card was brandished.
Wanderers looked to be on course for victory after surviving a couple of scares - Kevin Poole saving well from Smith then being fortunate to collect the rebound after the Leeds ace hit the bar.
There were few other scoring chances in a game blighted by torrential ran and a heavy pitch until Johnson broke the deadlock on the hour, rounding off a good run with an 18 yard strike.
