SHOPLIFTER Stephen Butler was spotted leaving a supermarket without paying, a court heard.
Bury magistrates heard how Butler, aged 34, was seen in the Tesco store in Prestwich.
He picked bottles of spirits and left without paying for the goods worth nearly £300.
Butler, of Victoria Avenue, Whitefield, pleaded guilty to theft.
The case was adjourned until March 14 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Woman denies theft
A WHITEFIELD woman has pleaded not guilty to theft before Bury magistrates.
Sara Cosgrove, aged 35, of Victoria Avenue, Whitefield, opted to have her case heard at the Crown Court. A committal hearing is expected to take place on April 16.
