Orrell St James U12s 4, Westhoughton Lions U12s 4: HONOURS were even at full time in this closely contested game.
The Lions came out strongly for the first 10 minutes and put Orrell under considerable pressure which resulted in a fine Westhoughton try scored by Golden Moment winner Kyle Bolton.
Unfortunately, the conversion was missed and Orrell were able to equalize with an unconverted Try of their own.
Excellent attacking from the Lions forwards, especially Man of the Match Daniel Brett, continually placed the Orrell tryline under threat, while some superb defence, especially from Top Tackler Tony Eaton, kept Orrell from taking the game.
Most Improved Player among a team of much improved players, went to Richard Bergin.
