I READ with interest your article on the origins of the Friends Reunited (www.friendsreunited.com) web site.
Some 18 months ago, I was the first to register for both my junior and secondary schools, Oxford Grove CP and Canon Slade Grammar. Since then I have seen the site grow and grow, and have, as a result, recently met a schoolfriend I had not seen for 37 years and a workmate I had not seen for 20.
More remarkably, I have regained contact with a friend with whom I lost contact when his parents left the area in the early 50s, when we were about six years old, and who is now living in California. None of this would have been possible without Friends Reunited.
