THE Prince of Wales has honoured his promise to open a specialist unit for cystic fibrosis named in honour of a young woman who died of the disease.
Prince Charles told the family of Amanda Bristow he would perform the ceremony when he visited Liverpool's cardiothoracic centre two years ago.
The 26 year old spent much of her time at the centre on a men's ward.
