THE word on the street is "hippy". That's hippy chic to you and me -- boho, flower power.
Call it what you will, it is going to be a summer of love according to the fashion pundits. And our picture proves it. Lace tops, tassle belts and faded, embroidered jeans are the way to go -- and if you've got a pair of wedge-heeled shoes hiding in the back of your wardrobe, then all the better.
The rails of Per Una in Bolton's Marks & Spencer store is crammed with clothes reflecting the h ippy, gypsy and flamenco influences.
Store manager Sarah Worral says: "We are excited to have received the new spring/summer 2002 Per Una collection inspired by all the major catwalk influences -- gypsy, vintage and flamenco.
"We are positive that the new collection will continue to be a huge success with our customers here in Bolton."
