WHY is the Government spending so much time, money and effort on "asylum seekers"?
Since we joined the European Union we, Britain, have no asylum seekers, only illegal immigrants.
Once an asylum seeker enters a European Union country, they can only be an asylum seeker in the country of entry. Once they leave that country they become illegal immigrants and should be treated as such.
In Britain, asylum seekers can only be considered if they arrive in this country direct from their own country or without landing in a European country, ie by plane.
All these alleged asylum seekers should be treated as illegal immigrants and deported forthwith, without representation to the country from which they came within the European Union, and save the taxpayer millions of pounds, which I am sure could be well used elsewhere.
