TWO typical Bolton lads will meet up on Sunday to discuss the Wanderers, lament the loss of the old Ritzy nightclub and reminisce about their beloved hometown.
But their chat will not be carried out down at the local pub -- it will be seen by millions of people on national television.
This week, television presenter Vernon Kay got together with actor Paul Nicholls for an interview being shown on Vernon's popular Sunday morning TV programme T4.
Vernon says: "I really enjoyed talking to Paul -- he's a great lad and we had a good chat about Bolton.
"We had a laugh about the time he first appeared on Eastenders and wore a Manchester United shirt.
"Needless to say, he sported a Bolton Wanderers one in the next episode."
The two hugely successful Bolton boys also chatted about the former Ritzy nightclub (now Ikon) and the many "great nights out" they had there.
They also praised the good folk of Bolton.
"We both agreed that the people here are fantastic, real salt of the earth." says Vernon, aged 28,
"When we come back home we never get any hassle, just a slap on the back and an 'all right mate'. That's just the way we like it." Lostock-born Vernon was a Bolton Council cleaner before finding fame as a fashion model. He then progressed into a TV presenting career.
Paul, aged 22, from Smithills, shot to fame as Joe Wicks in the BBC soap. He has also starred in TV dramas City Central and The Passion and has appeared in stage plays in London's West End.
T4 is on Channel 4 tomorrow at 9am.
