IN the Bolton Darts League in aid of the Bolton Senior Gateway Club for Mentally Handicapped Adults, the Ladies Most 133 and Over Competition is beginning to get very close between a number of players.

With over half of the Darts League season already completed, the leader is Maureen Taylor with eight, followed by Edith Stephens and Gina Jones with seven.

With six are Diane Lee and Dawn Lowe and with five Pauline Lomax and Denise Meanley. Following with four are Edna Ashton, Mabel Macari, Flo Bell, Eva Holden, Bev Ryding and Janet Robishaw, and with three Rita Heaton, Shirley Holden and Pat Boardman.

Seven players have two -- Dot Marsh, Eileen Gannon, Dot Ainsworth, Alison Lomax, Tina Holden, Marian Heyes and June Scott. Twelve other players have one -- Lynn Jones, Joanne Szekeley, Natalie Jones, Ellen Wareing, Vera Rennie, Pam Jessop, Julie Handley, Dulcie Lomax, Dee Tong, Amy Norris, Marie Watts and Pat Ryding.

In the Ladies Section (Moonlight Club Thursday), the leader is Pauline Lomax by six points from Dot Marsh and Mabel Macari, with Joanne Szekeley in fourth, and Eileen Gannon in fifth.

Following close behind are Lynn Jones, Edith Stephens and Margaret Rowlands.

In the Ladies Section One (Moonlight Club, Friday) the leader is Gina Jones by four points from Maureen Taylor, with Diane Lee in third and Flo Bell and Denise Meanley in joint fourth.

Close behind is Ellen Wareing. In Section Two Shirley Holden leads by two points from Marian Heyes, with Rita Heaton in third, and Louise Bond in fourth. Tina Holden is fifth and following are Alison Lomax and Sonia Oakley.

In the Men Section Two (Moonlight Club, Friday) the leader is Brian Daniels by two points from John Tegland, with Steve Cunningham in third and Tommy Jessop in fourth.

In fifth is Martin Lomax, with Steve Weall close behind.
