A MULTI-million pound drug-making operation was uncovered during a police raid in Golborne.
Officers found two pill making machines which are thought to have produced Ecstasy tablets to the value of £1 million, which were recovered from addresses in Golborne and St Helens.
Four men have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to supply and produce drugs.
One man, Timothy Ashcroft, of High Street, Golborne, has been charged with possession of assorted ammunition and was remanded in custody by St Helens magistrates.
