BOLTON Under 14s are through to the Final of the Talbot Cup following a thrilling 5-3 victory against Trafford at Ashton on Mersey on Saturday writes Graeme Hollinshead
Bolton, who have hit top form since the turn of the year, made a dream start to the tie when Billy McGuinness (Turton) gave them the lead after a superb solo run.
Bolton went further ahead on ten minutes when McGuiness rifled home his second.
But disaster struck five minutes later with an own goal opening Trafford's scoring account.
A well worked move finished with James Molyneux (Rivington) scoring from 25 yard shot, before Michael McGinley, also from Rivington, made it four.
Trafford grabbed their second immediately after the restart, but the Bolton youngsters made sure of a place in the final when McGinley doubled his tally.
Bolton will have to wait until next week to discover who their Final opponents will be with Stockport taking on Macclesfield in the other Semi Final.
