BOLTON'S own wannabe pop idols took to the stage to help a group of budding entrepreneurs.
A group of singers entered a talent contest in an event which was organised to raise money for a young enterprise company.
The firm was set-up at Bolton School by sixth-formers and the concert was held at the Chorley New Road establishment.
The audience was treated to performances by Natalie Raud, who sang S Club 7's Reach and Rachel Thomas who covered the same band's track You.
Year 5 pupil Tessa Durkin won the competition with her rendition of the song Over the Rainbow.
Assistant Managing Director Imran Afzal, aged 17, from Heaton, said the event was a great success.
"More than 100 people turned up and we must have raised around £100. The singers did very well and everyone seemed to have a good time."
The young enterprise company, called Cheau da Peau and Co, was set-up last October.
Its aim is to raise as much money as it can before April.
The profits will be split between charity, the young enterprise association and the 14 members of the firm. They have made money by selling bracelets and stress balls and will soon be holding a tuck shop.
