AN OPEN invitation has been issued for all those interested in taking part in a new musical being composed for this year's Bolton Festival.
Bolton Little Theatre is presenting the premiere of the new musical entitled Wakes!
The production is being written by Bolton writer Roger Spencer.
It is a musical comedy which will tell the story of a Bolton family in 1952 going on holiday to Blackpool and follows all the adventures that follow.
The show includes 11 new songs penned especially for it.
Roger Spencer's music has been featured at the Bolton Little Theatre before, as he wrote most of the original music for Trotters.
Wakes! will be presented at Bolton Little Theatre from August 24 to 31 and will be directed by the company's artistic director, Andrew Close.
An open meeting will be held on Thursday, March 7, 7.30pm, at Bolton Little Theatre on Hanover Street, Bolton, when the script will be read and the music heard.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
