KEVIN Nolan had one lucky break on Saturday when he emerged unscathed from his motorway car smash en route to Southampton but there was no escaping the long arm of soccer's disciplinary law.
The young Wanderer picked up his fifth booking of the season in the scoreless draw at St Mary's and now faces a one-match suspension which will keep him out of the home game against Derby County on March 16.
Nolan is, however, poised for an England call-up next week to play in front of his home Reebok fans.
The 19-year-old midfield ace looks certain to be picked for the England Under-20 side to play Finland in a Nationwide international friendly on Wednesday, March 13.
Sam Allardyce has been pressing for his seven-goal star to be given Under-21 honours but so far Nolan has been overlooked for David Platt's powerful side. Now the U-20s looks likely to be the next step up after his appearances for the U-18s and an impressive performance could see him win a late callfor this summers U-21 European Championship finals in Switzerland.
Tickets for the game are on sale at the Reebok price £3 for adultsif bought in advance (£5 on the day) and £1 for children and pensioners. Family tickets are available in advance at £5 for two adults and two children.
