A SURVEY of hundreds of British schools by Animal Aid has revealed that more than a quarter do not cater properly for vegetarians.
The Vegetarian Food School Report shows that while 18pc of schools provide four or more vegetarian options every day, 27pc often have days where no vegetarian meal is served.
There were complaints that fish dishes were often labelled as vegetarian and that veggie options were high in fat and dominated by chips, cheese and wheat.
