LABOUR MP for Chorley, Lindsay Hoyle, has asked Minister for Sport, Richard Caborn, to assist amateur sporting clubs through a system of tax breaks and incentives.
Mr Hoyle asked the Minister for Sport to work closely with Treasury officials to ensure local amateur sports clubs are able to survive and play an active part in the community.
The Treasury is currently looking at the future funding and status of sports clubs.
