CAN anyone provide a loving home for a friendly cat?
Oscar, who is living in an animal shelter used by the RSPCA, needs a new home after his owner died.
The eight-year-old black and white cat is timid and quiet and might not be suitable for a family with young children.
Claire Foster, who has been looking after Oscar, said: "He is a nice cat, but probably needs to be somewhere quiet.
"He came from a good home and loves eating and sleeping - he would make an ideal lap cat."
Anyone who would like to adopt Oscar is urged to call 521160 during the day or 0787 0903202 during the evening.
