SUGGESTIONS for unclogging traffic on congested sections of the M60 -- which include closing Junction 13 at Worsley -- are to be exhibited in Bolton.
Ideas thrown up by M60 JETTS (Junction 18 to 12 Transport Study), a multi-model approach covering roads, public and private transport, cycling and walking to ease congestion, will be available for public inspection on Tuesday, March 19, in Victoria Square, Bolton, between 10am and 5 pm.
Some of the suggested measures of improving traffic flow on one of the busiest stretches of road in Europe include widening the M60 to four or five lanes each way, closing junction 13 and providing full access at junction 14, and having HGV priority lanes.
