LOFTY the Lion got his teeth into dental care when he joined children and parents looking to keep their mouths healthy.
The loyal Bolton Wanderers mascot went along to the Cahill Dental Care Centre in Higher Bridge Street to open the new Dental Health Education Suit.
The centre aims to work with schools to take the pain out of caring for teeth. It will be open to school parties, who will be shown, through games and puzzles, how the right diet and correct brushing can keep teeth healthy.
Gayna Smith, a dental nurse at the centre said: "We want to reduce the amount of interventive work needed by children.
"No one enjoys having fillings, or being fitted with crowns and bridges. By getting into good habits early, all this can be prevented."
