WORKERS tucked into the biggest breakfast in Bolton to help cancer care.
Firms across the town, including the Bolton Evening News, took part in a national All Day Breakfast event to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
A feast cooked up by staff in our newspaper sales section pulled in an incredible sum of just under £1,200 -- double the amount raised last year. One of the organisers, Dee Larkin, BEN group canvassing manager, thanked Bolton businesses who donated food and prizes for a raffle and auction, including a signed Robbie Williams book and a mountain bike.
"We had some really good prizes. The All Day Breakfast is a great idea -- it's something people really seem to look forward to," she said. The event was sponsored by Kellog's, who donated cereals and starter packs.
