TWO singers from Bolton are in talks with a London record label connected with top guns Sony.

Samantha Halliwell, aged 15, and Hayley Roberts, aged 13, also shown, are both pupils at the Melody Pop Tuition school, on Higher Market Street, Farnworth.

They travelled South yesterday for interviews with record company executives.

Samantha, who has been singing for two years, and Hayley, who has two-and-a-half-years under her belt, are hoping for a record contact.

Manager Jean Pasquill said: "They are two very talented singers with huge futures ahead of them."

Samantha is influenced by R 'n' B and pop and numbers Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston among her favourites. She said: "I pestered my mum for a year before I got singing lessons and things have gone from there.

"I love singing and I would like to make a career of it."
