Chadwick hat-trick not enough to beat pacesetters

His performance included beating Top Ten leader Mike Moir, leaving him three wins behind but having played two matches less.

Ramsbottom B scored a 7-2 win against second in the table Farnworth, which included a treble by Keith Jackson. Adam Bleakley won the two for Farnworth.

Ron Pennington trebled for Hilton A in their 5-4 win at Horwich Sports, as did Martin Ireland, who won his three sets for Lostock in their 7-2 win against Little Lever.

Nomads A were the only Division One title-chasers in action and their 7-2 win against Heaton B brought them to second place in the table. Craig Johnson's treble in the match gave him a three-set advantage as Top Ten leader.

Kevan Orton trebled for Chorley Old Road as they lost 5-4 to Wingates, while Duncan Hadfield trebled for Wharton who also lost 5-4 at Ladybridge. Heaton A beat a two man Horwich Hilton C 8-1.

A treble by Greg Lee helped Second Division leaders Wingates B to a 6-3 win at Black Dog. Greg is now joint Top Ten leader with Hannah Roberts.

Phil Noden trebled for Meadow Hill, who lost 6-3 at Nomads B, and Ian Lansdale scored three wins for Little Lever C, who lost 5-4 at Hilton B. Heaton C won 8-1 win against Ladybridge B.

In Division Three, Geoff and Robert Hall trebled for leaders Halls in their 7-2 success over Halliwell Meths. Both players beat Top Ten leader Ian Bateson, but his lead looks unassailable.

Bikkhu Patel trebled for Jubilee A in their 6-3 Division Four triumph over Meadow Hill.

Second-placed Ellesmere A scored maximum points in their Division Five clash against Ladybridge G.

, which has also increased Paul Jackson's lead in the Top Ten Competition to four sets. The other two Ellesmere teams both suffered heavy defeats, the B team losing 8-1 at Hilton K, which included trebles by John Pilkington and Les Clough for Hilton, and the C team going down 7-2 at home to Hilton J, a treble here for Stephen Ross.

In a much closer match, Ladybridge H recorded their fourth win of the season at Jubilee B by a 5-4 scoreline, which included three wins for Stephen Greenhalgh and two by Ian Gregory.
