AT the final fixture in the GM Girls League Horwich RMI Harriers romped to their first Under 11s championship win.
They finished the season on 159 points ahead of second-placed Altrincham, 97.5 points; Trafford, 96.5; Wigan, 26; Bolton, 26; East Cheshire, 13 and Blackley, 7.
Horwich's U13s finished their season in fourth place on 153.5 points behind winners Wigan, 220, only narrowly missing out on the bronze position to Trafford,158.5. The U15s, after a close tussle with Trafford AC, had to settle for the runner's up spot on 218 points - just 18 behind their rivals.
Horwich U11s winners included Lucy Hindley, three lap, Chidic Onwudike, standing long jump and Hindley, Onwudike, Alyce Eccles and Crompton, 4x2 lap relay. In the U15s Sarah Stephens, four lap and Loretta Barnett, shot, were also successful.
