COUNCILLORS in Cumbria are to hear that the county's economic prospects could decline further and that action needs to be taken.
South Lakeland's cabinet is being urged to take on extra staff to encourage regeneration in the area. A report says that the economy was badly hit by the foot and mouth outbreak and another predicts that Cumbria will continue to lose jobs in manufacturing and farming.
