Wanderers will pin their faith on veteran Kevin Poole to fill the void left by Jussi Jaaskelainen's two-match ban announced today.

Jaaskelainen will play at Charlton on Saturday then miss two games following his sending-off against Derby County last weekend.

Wanderers officials have received official confirmation from the FA that the keeper will be suspended for the Aston Villa game at home on Saturday week and the away game against Everton on Easter Monday.

Jaaskelainen won his eighth international cap for Finland in a friendly against South Korea at the Spanish leisure resort of La Manga yesterday.

The Finns lost 2-0 to a couple of late goals as the co-hosts continued their build up to this summer's World Cup Finals.

Jaaskelainen conceded a penalty and was shown a red card for bringing down Rams' substitute Lee Morris last Saturday.

It was his second dismissal at the Reebok this season following the sending-off for handling outside the area against Newcastle United.

The need for added defensive strength means that Sam Allardyce will abandon any plans of signing another keeper and 35-year old Poole will fill the void backed up by Steve Banks whose proposed move to Stockport has been put on hold.

Stig Tofting, suffering severe bruising to his ankle after limping out of the weekend defeat, has withdrawn from the Denmark squad for next week's friendly against the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.
