ENTERTAINER Billy Connolly has made a Bolton businessman very happy.
The "Big Yin" turned to Antony Cummings' Bolton-based company when he wanted a new trike for his latest television programme.
The star is currently to be seen on BBC1 astride a Low-Rider machine supplied by Boom Trikes (UK) Ltd based in the Morris Green Business Centre, off St Helens Road.
Billy Connolly's World Tour of England, Ireland and Wales is a follow-up to the successful series in which he toured Australia on a purple Harley Davidson machine.
Boom Trikes, which was established by Mr Cummings and his brother-in-law Ian Roberts in February, 2001, is importing the German-made machines with some success.
Mr Connolly's order came after he saw a catalogue from an exhibition which Boom Trikes attended.
Boom Trikes has sold 25 of the trikes over the last year.
Mr Cummings says they are now getting "busier and busier."
"The TV programme is going to be a boost," he said. "I think we will get a lot of orders on the back of it."
