BOLTON Wanderers Football Club has given its support to the new Kerbcraft Road Safety training Scheme being run in several primary schools in Bolton.
Delia O'Brien, the Child Pedestrian Training Co-ordinator, said: "The club has been brilliant in helping our Road Safety Unit to promote this vital new training programme which aims to help save children's lives in the most vulnerable areas of the borough. We even managed to get Lofty the Lion in one of our yellow, fluorescent jackets to do some Kerbcraft lessons!"
The Road Safety Unit at Bolton Metro was eager to strengthen this partnership with the club, and their staff took part in the annual "Reebok Ramble" -- a sponsored walk around the pitch, to raise money for the Bolton Busting Breast Cancer Appeal. They are expecting to raise more than £150 towards the appeal.
Anyone who wants to donate to the appeal can contact the Junior Whites group at Bolton Wanderers on 673770.
