BURY'S annual review of car parking charges will have no impact on short-stay parkers in the town, say transport bosses.
Although new charging rates have been introduced, those using town centre car parks for up to two hours, or on-street parking areas and staying no more than 30 minutes, will see no increase.
Bury's executive member for the environment and transport, Cllr Julie Higson, said: "Along with other councils across the country, we have been carrying out our annual review of car parking charges and, while there will be some increases, these are primarily aimed at longer-stay parkers."
