SAM Allardyce has confirmed an interest in German striker Carsten Jancker who is out of contract at Bayern Munich.
Allardyce is reported as saying: "We were offered Jancker before the deadline and that shows that Bolton is now attractive to foreign players."
Wanderers' boss also revealed his intention to look for some bargain buys in South America this summer. Allardyce insists he is not prepared to pay inflated fees for lower league British players.
"Brazil and Argentina, in particular, is a way forward for us now," he confirmed.
"If you want to go down into the Nationwide League, I think clubs are still looking for millions of pounds for unproven players."
