LITTLE Lever all-rounder Paul Rayment completed the hat-trick against Heaton - and still finished up on the losing side.
The South African showed he can still be a thorn in the side of batsmen as he started to pick up wickets towards the end of the Heaton innings.
He had Jonathan Fearick caught behind by Paul Blinkhorn and then trapped John Whittle with a first ball leg before. Next to go was Simon Booth, again caught behind by wicketkeeper Blinkhorn.
Even so Heaton still managed to reach 163-8, professional Nahendra Hirwani providing a useful contribution with 39 in quick time, to overtake the home side's total of 162.
That modest score had also been due to Hirwani, who made the batsmen struggle throughout to collect 6-62.
