VICTIMS of asbestos-related diseases in Bolton and the North-west are hoping the House of Lords will overturn a court ruling preventing them claiming compensation.
Under current legislation, if a victim was exposed to asbestos by more than one employer, neither of the firms can be sued.
The House of Lords will today hear an appeal from three test cases of people who developed cancer after being exposed to asbestos at work. The judgement is expected in two to three weeks' time.
