THE emotional events of the September 11 terrorist attack have prompted a Horwich amateur artist to paint his reactions.
Now the picture takes pride of place in an exhibition at Horwich Library.
Morton Murray, a 61-year-old retired development engineer and a founder member of Horwich Art Society, said: "Like everyone else, I was affected by the events of that day in America.
"I suppose I am lucky that I can translate those feelings to canvas but then painting is very therapeutic."
The painting shows Christ on the cross over a void with Ground Zero at its centre. It is one of about 140 exhibits in Horwich Art Society's free exhibition which runs until May 31.
