WALKERS from Bolton are being urged to join the Three Peaks "Challenge 2002" on June 22 to raise money for the National Heart Research Fund.
The combined 26-mile (46km) and 5,000ft (1,500 metres) ascent of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales is the main challenge, but walkers can choose to do one or two peaks. There will be prizes for those raising the most money. For more information, call Mike Garnett or Richard Gledhill on 0113 234 7474.
